Interview with Sam Houser
Developmag have got themselves a very rare interview with Rockstar Games President, Sam Houser. They cover the impact of GTA IV, the direction of the industry and Rockstar's internal ethics and beliefs. Here's a few interesting quotes:In order to be successful, we are going to have to continue to do what we have always done – make games that we would want to play, and hope there is audience for them.
Most of the people who hate us are people it is truly an honor to be hated by – reactionary creeps with strange agendas – and the Daily Mail. Most people who know about modern pop culture know about GTA and like or dislike it on its own merits.
We don’t want to get too much bigger in terms of teams, because the games need to have the personal touch and production values that are in them, and we can’t do that at a much bigger scale, but we will always look to work closely with excellent people when we come across them.
The problem with academia and prizes and awards and all the things the movie industry has wrapped itself in is that it constrains things too much. 99 per cent of movies are three acts told over two hours with very similar plot structures, camera work and so on. We can rip up the rule book every time we make a game as every aspect of every process gets reconsidered.

Interview with Little Jacob's voice actor
GTA4Mods.com recently managed to score an interview with Coolie Ranx, best known among GTA fans for playing the part of Little Jacob in Grand Theft Auto IV. There's a number of good questions that were asked, and some interesting answers from Ranx.On how he got the part of Little Jacob:
I'm still wondering about that feat. My audition I thought was horrible. For me it was about the art because I really wanted to do acting. I didn't have a clue what I was auditioning for, all I knew was that it was an acting job. I wanted to do it so bad that I crumbled at the audition and asked to come back again the next day and try it again. They said yes but to be honest the next day wasn't that much better lol. So I'm still wondering what they saw in me.

GTA IV Millionaires Club launches - Social Club update
Rockstar Games have today unveiled The Millionaires Club, a new addition to the Social Club. The club recognises all players who have earned over 1 million dollars in the game - not based on your current bank balance though, but by the total amount of money you have made since you first started playing, i.e. every mission you passed, all money you picked up off the ground, every race you won etc.
Once you've amassed a seven figure wealth, you'll be able to compare youself to all the other Millionaires out there. A total of three leaderboards show you who were the first to become millionaires, who did it the quickest, and who is the richest.
Let us know how you've found the Social Club to be and if you're in the club already. I for one have had not such a good experience. Despite 100%'ing the game weeks before the competition deadline (sometime back in early-mid May), my status still to this day has not updated itself, and claims I've only completed the game 90 percent. Hopefully you've all had better experiences than myself!

GTA IV trailer 1 recreated in... GTA IV
Yes, you did read that title correctly. Brotha, who probably doesn't need an introduction now, gained fame in the GTA community for his amazing recreations of GTA IV trailers using San Andreas. Well, he's been up to his old antics again, and this time has recreated the first teaser trailer for GTA IV in... GTA IV. Not as easy as you may think actually since it's quite difficult to get some of the angles used, and unfortunately he doesn't have a capture card and had to make do with a camera, nonetheless, Brotha did his best and has produced another excellent video, see it below.
Was the original teaser too long ago for you to remember? Fear not, here are some links to Brotha's previous works as well as one to the original teaser trailer for GTA IV.

Realistic Niko Bellic render
As news is obviously pretty slow in the GTA universe for the moment, while many of you hope and pray for a PC release announcement from Rockstar Games, we're going to being making occasional news posts about interesting creations made by members of the community.
Today we received this great realistic rendering of Niko Bellic created by pixeloo, a DeviantArt user, click the thumbnail below to see the high res version. The image was, according to his blog post, made for Official Playstation Magazine UK and can be seen in the current issue.
pixeloo has gained quite a lot of attention for his "untooned" images, if you haven't seen any of his other work be sure to check out his DeviantArt gallery (the Stewie Griffin, Mario and Homer renditions are pretty good, if a little creepy).
Thanks to Alfred for emailing about this, and also bigjim for posting on our forums.

The Naked Gun intro remade in GTA IV
GamesRadar have recreated the famous introduction scene from The Naked Gun using Grand Theft Auto IV, and the result is pretty good, check out the embedded video below to see it. And for the people who've clearly never seen a good comedy before, the original is below that.
And for anyone who wouldn't know The Naked Gun even if Leslie Neilsen popped up and smacked them in the face, here's the original opening sequence in all its glory...
