Thanks to some help in the forums, I now know what this weapon is. It is an MP5K, most likely a beta version.

I noticed that one of the assassins in the opening cinematic had a different sub-machine gun from the typical ones in Vice City. So I thought that I would swap it with one them. It resembles an MP5 but is smaller (screen shot), so I opted to replace the one handed Ingram Mac 10 with it. The default hud weapon icon was not changed however. I would change the audio to a standard MP5, but the audio archive is too large to upload.

Store a copy of the default files and replace the ones in gta3.img with the ones in this mod.
