Rockstar not showing at E3 this year
Fans expecting an announcement for the next GTA will be disappointed to hear that Rockstar Games will not be showing anything at this year's E3 in Los Angeles. A company spokesperson told C&VG that Rockstar will be focussing efforts on it's own "dedicated press rounds" when the company is ready to make announcements.
Rockstar were due to show off the very under-the-wraps Max Payne 3 and dark, gritty, period piece L.A. Noire.
Just a couple of weeks ago you may have read about EEDAR analyst Jesse Divnich, who "confidently predicted" that GTA V would be shown in a non-playable form at E3. He wasn't the only analyst falsely getting people's hopes up though, you may also remember back in March Janco Partners analyst Mike Hickey predicted Rockstar may even come forth with a pre-E3 announcement.
We'll of course be keeping you up to date with any developments that do arise regarding GTA V, so keep an eye on your news feeds for more on that.
"In the end, we feel we simply don't have enough time to show as much as we would like in the time available"

First Episodes from Liberty City video contest announced

Rockstar have just announced the first video editor contest for Episodes from Liberty City, entitled "Base Jumping Extreme Film Festival".
In honor of the recent release of Episodes from Liberty City for PC, and with it, all new The Ballad of Gay Tony and The Lost and Damned channels at Social Club TV - we present the first in a series of Episodes from Liberty City Video Editor Contests: "The Base Jumping Extreme Film Festival".
Strap on a parachute in The Ballad of Gay Tony and use the PC version's in-game suite of video editing tools to make the most creative contest entry clip you can. A balls-out short action film? A base jumping commercial? An aerial music video? A creative montage of parachute stunts? We know you’ll amaze and surprise us as always.
The possibilities are endless. Just make sure it's at or under 5 minutes in length, and somehow, someway – parachuting or base jumping features prominently.

Episodes from Liberty City for PC and PS3 delayed until April
From the Rockstar Blog:
Due to a last minute game submission request from Sony Computer Entertainment Europe to edit some of the in-game Liberty City radio station, television, and internet content – we are forced to delay the worldwide release of Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City for both PlayStation 3 and PC for an extra two weeks.
The new release date for Episodes from Liberty City - and the two downloadable episodes The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony - on those platforms is now April 13th in North America and April 16th in Europe. This new date will enable us to rectify these changes for Sony Europe, and still allow for a level playing field for all of the Grand Theft Auto fans that have been waiting patiently for this release. In the meantime, we’re moving full speed ahead towards the new game release date. On that note – please be aware that the Grand Theft Auto IV PlayStation 3 leaderboards at Rockstar Games Social Club will be down for maintenance for one week starting March 22nd as we work on their re-launch in support of Episodes from Liberty City.
