UK have the $ on their keyboard, so why dont US have the £

does any one know whether this will be part of the gta3 era, or not? or have R* moved 100% away from that now

It should be part of the GTA IV era considering that it's set in the new Liberty City (without Alderney).

Rashon's right, it's set in the GTAIV era.
On a slightly off-topic note, R* actually managed to represent Liberty City pretty well from a top-down view! I was impressed.

I agree with you Mpilk901. Also, the game is set in the GTA IV Era, as they share the same Liberty City (minus Alderney), and the game has GTA IV Era features (eg. the radar, police computer).
