  1. Thanks for the reply Ghost, I will go there right now. I gotta admit it is a pretty ambitious thing to do but then I do like to get my teeth into something good now and again... Cheers
  2. Okay, I'll kick off the first reply myself here... The Mission Builder just plain doesn't decompile the main.scm properly at all. Mis-reads the op-codes or something, I haven't figured it out yet. It's great for compiling new missions but as for editing them... EDIT: I just found version 1.5 of the Mission Editor at gtamodding but... still won't work properly. Screws up on the re-compile and locks the game up Anyhoo, I attacked the main.scm with a hex editor and kinda worked it all out using the info I got from the Mission Builder. If Barton is hanging around this forum maybe you could reply to this and kinda put a bit of help my way as to why I can't get the Main.scm to decompile properly... please... edit: turned emoticons on... oops...
  3. Hi guys, noob needing some help if poss plz I downloaded the Vice City Mission Builder from the downloads page, no problems, and I have spent some considerable time going thru the readme text. Very informative. So I goes off and loads up the main.scm mission file from Vice City (after backing it up of course) and decide to have a play (just for a laff you understand ) So now I go to recompile it and - I get a compile error, something about an incorrect number of conditions. Okay I thinks to myself, I must have screwed up somewhere so I re-loads the originam main.scm (original restored that is) so I have a brand new un-edited original scm file. Let's try just re-compiling it straight off without modding it. Oh dear, same error edit: The error message reads: The number of conditions used doesn't match the if parameter. Use 00D6: IF 3 if all of the conditions must match, or 00D6: IF 23 if just one of the conditions must match. This appears at :Label0F6850 which is trying to determine if the colt45 is available. The error is correct, the value should be 23 so either there is a condition missing that has not been decompiled or there is an error in the decompile routine that has put the wrong value in here. What is confusing me is that this is the original decompiled script and should not contain any errors as I haven't modified it in any way. I kinda get the impression that I can't re-compile the original main.scm file here, can anybody confirm or deny this for me plz coz I could save a lot of coding if I can use the main.scm file as a starting point. Thanks in advance if anybody can help me here.
