It would be useless, since it's almost the same as installing cars, exept for the fact that you don't have to addapt handling lines or anything. If you really can't do it yourself, post the

f***ing

mod and I'l make a Sami scripter for it or just tell you what to do.

edit: I'v got that train mod myself. Just replace the files like you would do for a car. I'm asuming you already DO mod cars, do you?

Jace... I'm disappointed in you...

X GTA X here is how you do it.

1. Open up your GTA3.img

2. Open up the mod folder.

3. Extract the necessary files.

4. Search (F2) for the needed fiels in the GTA3.img

5. Delete them one by one.

6. Add the necessary files one by one.

7. Rebuild archive.

8. Boot game and get in the train.

What's the difference between installing a car and a train exept for the fact that the train has 4 files to replace. And BTW, do you actually HAVE to rebuild archive. I'v never done that and I haven't had problems with mods so far.

And X GTA X, Sami doesn't see the train as a vehicle, somehow. So you have to install trains manual. Do you want a scripter anyway?

Have you done this?

3) Replace lines in handling.cfg:

STREAK 5500.0 65000.0 3.0 0.0 0.0 0.0 90 0.58 0.8 0.5 4 110.0 20.0 20.0 R D 03.17 0.40 0 30.0 1.4 0.06 0.0 0.45 -0.10 0.55 0.0 0.65 0.20 5000 8 200 0 1 2

4) Replace lines in vehicles.ide:

538, streak, streak, train, STREAK, STREAK, truck, ignore, 10, 0, 0, -1, 1.06, 1.06, -1

570, streakc, streakc, train, CSTREAK, STREAKC, coach, ignore, 30, 0, 0, -1, 1.06, 1.06, -1

5) Replace lines in carcols.dat:

streak, 1,3

streakc, 1,3

Good, although you have to do that for every vehicle. I still don't get how you could get other vehicles in but not a train, there's no obvious difference between them. Installing them is the same. All model and texture stuff is just a matter of replacing files and sometimes additional changes that are given in the readme.txt

I usually use Sami to, but loads of times it fales, so I prefer manual, although big mods (like full skins or weapon packs) are far easier to install with a scripter of Sami.

BTW, did you have to rebuild archive?

Yeah I did, just in case. I CBA to retry not doing it lol.

Lol now im almosed obsesed. All i'm doing is adding weapons, textures and building lol.

Cheers again Jace
