What does your PC have?

Soon either a Hitachi 2TB or a Western Digital 2TB Hard Drive.

Eventually, maybe an ATI Radeon HD 5970 Video Card, or an NVIDIA 300-series DX11 Card when they come out since I'm more loyal to NVIDIA/EVGA. :P

Lol I have those same speakers up in my room for my PS2. Logitech G51 right?

For my PC I went with the Logitech Z-2300 set though.

And I have that same calculator for use in school. (Texas Instruments TI-84?)

4GB DDR3 RAM

Intel Core i5-661 3.33 GHz Dual-Core, fuck off it gets the job done.

GeForce GTX550 Ti 1GB

Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

ATX-600W P4

Has a slight overheating problem, nothing serious but I need ether a new case or a better cooling unit, or both. Unfortunately I can't afford ether ^^ Anyway all games run at 70 FPS+ with the graphics set to max (including anti-aliasing, filters etc) at 1024 x 768 cause my monitor is too small. Except GTA IV which is crap and SR2 which is crap on PC.

I also have a TV.

By the way did someone here buy an Alienware? Lol they ripped you off dude.

Dell, eMachine, IBM, Acer, HP, (Asustek), Compaq.

I got a small army of laptops and PCs I had to move to storage in the recession, I was offering them via Craigslist, anyone need an IBM M51 ThinkCentre, or Dell Latitude CPx?? I'm selling all my C series Latitudes, all have 14.1 inch screens, some are missing parts like LCD as it happens, but they do work. I just want to find my old 'Putes homes.

Alienware has been one of the premier Boutiques before Dell bought them out for a small sum (from Dell's point of view), All the old Premier machines were outdated at some point, and not all that powerful any more! Thinking back to 2005, the AMD 64x2 was the star of the show, and I can still run one. Prior to that, you had AMD64 FX55 and FX 56. FX is still a noted high end designation

Wow apart from myself and 2pac_thug nobody else here has a decent rig.

Mine:

Processor: Intel® Pentium® 4 CPU 3.00GHz (2 CPUs)

Memory: 1024MB RAM

Hard Drive: 364 GB Total (1x250, 1x74, 1x40) - the 40gb isn't used, its just got windows vista installation on

Video Card: ATi Radeon X800 GTO2 256MB

Monitor: Samsung SyncMaster 940N 19" TFT

Sound Card: SoundBlaster X-Fi XtremeMusic

Speakers: Creative Inspire T6060 5.1

Keyboard and Mouse: Logitech Cordless Desktop MX3000 Laser

Operating System: Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2

I'm thinking about getting another 1gb of ram after xmas.

Chris, if it was a standard 775 socket Pentium 4 at 3Ghz, it would more likely be HT or HTT as it's technically known, and then the step to Pentium D and Core Duo would be actual dual cores from Intel. AMD beat Intel to the table with 939 socket x2 AMD64s!

I don't have one of those but I have a capable 939 board with AMD's Athlon 3400+

For Intel i3 dual core HTT CPU on a Biostar board, a Core2Quad Q8200 on a geForce 7100 ECS and Core2Duo 1.8 from Dell's XPS 410 parted out, running on an MSI board, with the 5450 ATI Radeon I got as my bestest vid card, the i3 uses it's HD internal graphics basically, and Windows 7, I use Vista Ulti, and XP as well on the others, I also put Vista Premium on the MSI with 3GB of DDR2, the Biostar is upgraded from 2 to 4GB and Win7 on it is 64bit! Nice, a bunch of gaming rigs, if a bit outdated in all

It's actually been surprising how long the older tech remains useful, the oddest thing about Legacy hardware existing today has been the persistant old school SERIAL ports still on many a motherboard, and Parallel, though offered in a Bi-Directional data state, just left unused by most people, space on a mobo is somewhat critical nowadays, but perhaps it was just not a space concern for those many years...who knows?

I do think it's impressive if 775 socket was actually out in 2004, and covered so many CPU options!

Core2 won't work in all of them, just as socket 478 the second socket Intel devised for Pentium 4, won't support Hyperthreading, which came out in Jan of 2005, basically

Dual Core tech was in place by year's end.... Dec 2005, as you know, the PS3 and Xbox360 were cutting edge HD gaming consoles! haha
