Tell your parents to read my reply

There are 2 ratings for this game. because there are 2 versions of this game A (Which is 1st edition) and M 2nd edition

A= Adults only

M= Mature

The only reason for the A rating is because of a programming code that has been long removed and that all past current releases in te last 3 months as well as any future

Releases are no longer rated A...they are all M

Besides you need to know someone that has the computer code unlock feature in order to get ahold of it because you can't just play the game and have it show up...its locked in the programming and needs to be unlocked via a computer program that you need to run you're game save through and is obsolete at this point because even if you do get the computer proogram to unlock it and you have 2nd edition the game save will not work

Games don't really have whats called an R Ratiing they use the letter M...M in game terms is the exact equal as R in Movie terms

If they let you have and play GTA III and or Vice city then whats the big deal now - This game is just a bigger version of those 2

One of the reasons people I know that play this game is because its a stress reliever because the beauty of this game is that it allows you to do all the stuff you cannot do in real life in a game and as long as you understand its a game then there really is no problems And if you look at the game along those lines it actually is a healthy release

The fact of the matter is that this game isn't really too far off from the truth in the fact of the story line.....crooked cops, hit and runs, crookeed poloticians, comedians....

Listening to a radio station is basically like going to a comedy club with a comedian thats rated R

Besides there are games that actually surpass this level of violence (I.E Mortal Kombat, DOA, Any fighting game, Racing games such as Burnout revenge)

its just that this game happens to be the one being focused on more than the others so of course like anything else focused on its going to get an image whether good or bad..and that image is what ones opinon of it is

I hope you're parents read this reply because these are just the plain facts

Most game stores will let you get them.

I was able to preorder, walk in, and pick up San Andreas PC without an adult present, and I was also handed the other games with an adult present.

Do they let you do other things? Like watch R-rated movies, TV-MA rated, shows, etc...?

EDIT: Your two topics have been merged. Next time, only one is needed.

Also, how is Burn Out Revenge more violent than San Andreas? You should've said "The key goal of the entire Burn Out franchise is to damage or destroy opponents' vehicles. In San Andreas this is not the main goal."

Tell them you're not some stupid dumb ass kid that will re-create events in games. Give them examples like "I played *enter driving game here* and I dont feel like taking a car and driving 150 MPH!" or "I played *enter shooting game name here* And I dont feel like taking a gun and go blasting people, or I played *enter fighting game name here* and I dont feel like going outside and punching someone in the face!

And TX, no. If he goes to his parents and says "GTA SA had sex minigames in it, but they're gone now, so its ok!" the parents would be like "They had it in the first place!?!!?" Game Over.

Simple its the fact that certain apects of this game you are purposely trying smashing into things and trying to take out others while playing.

Putting the gameplay itself aside

Lets face it after GTA is finished all the game is really good for is causing trouble.

So whats the difference between purposely causing trouble with GTA and purposelycausing trouble with Burnout?..nothing its the exat same thing...I'm sorry forcing someone off the road because you are supposed to or a game that condones smashing and blowing up to take out other racers is no different then getting the law after you or running someone over for no reason in GTA

I know when I play burnout I don't really care about my score I am more in tuned with how many racers I can take out before the time runs out

thats true for me, If I am mad I usually go and play san andreas. after that I am relaxed. I usually just drive really fast off a cliff or a jump :D

That is how I got my parents to buy it for me for my birthday(plus I already bought the III and vc) but I told them that I didn't really like killing random people. I liked to drive and do pretty much anything.

Tell your parents that you realise that it is only a game, and that you have no urge to go out and recreate any events that occur within the game, especially those relating to violence and carjacking.

Hopefully they'll trust you on this.

I could not agree more. :D

here we go again why can't you people for once just not post something I never said

Where did you get this idea from. I Never said for him to do anything of the sort.

I was explaining the ratings for the game and why they were the way they are.

How did you get that I told him that there was a sex scene in this when I never mentioned anything about a sex scene?

You:I'll be right back

P:whoa, what are you doing with that spade?

You:I'm goona smash it in your face if you don't give me the damn game!

alright if its about da swearing u probably here atleast 3 or 4 swearwords a day weather it be from ur parents,ur brother or sister and more than likley on tv too so what difference does it make if u here it from a game so tell ur parents dat and if its da violence....well do u watch cartoons?think about it if ur watchin da simpsons and itchy and scratchy comes on itchy will do somthing like rip off scratchys skin how many warner brother cartoons have u seen that havent had an anvil dropping on someones head so tell them that, and if its the "influence" of the game just say i dont own a car i cant go run someone over, i dont own a katana i cant go stab someone in the face, i dont own a gun i cant go and shoot someone in the ass, and i deffinetley dont own a jet plane so i cant go and land on anyone thats why i wanted the game in the first place!<_<-_-

Well just tell them that you'll only play video games for a limited time each day, like say 2 hours. Or set up some kind of other rule and spend the rest being social. I'm pretty sure you're a normal person so you wouldn't play video games but I don't know you well enough to say that for sure... Just kidding, good luck with getting the game! :bleh:
