deleting our own posts

Recommended Posts

No, just no, what's to stop someone insulting someone waiting until the other person replies then deleting their post? It'll look like they started it.

Also, they could have made a post that could've got them banned, and before they (staff) realised, they'd delete it.

We advise against members deleting their posts/topics, and that includes editing the post to remove everything. Simply because if a post is deleted, we don't know what was in it before. It is up to the staff to decide if something that has been posted is inappropriate.

If you need something deleting, simply report the post using the p_report.gif button below the post.

On other forums you can delete your post only if it's the last post in a thread. I think it would come in handy if you accidentaly post something in the wrong thread or wrong subforum. If someone replies, the you cannot delete your post anymore.

I'd like to see that feature, since you can always easily edit your post.
