Slayer Posted May 20, 2006 Share Posted May 20, 2006 Pioneer has made the first Blu-ray recorder! It can record blu-ray discs at 2x and DVDs at 8x, DVD-RW at 4x. This is surely a big step in promoting blu-ray technology, since it's been more than 3 years when blu-ray was presented for the first time. This recorder is connected via PATA. However, the drive doesn't read CDs or DVD-RAM, and it's avaliable only for professionals, since it costs 1000$. Read the whole thing here.
