Drummer, guitarist, singer of Nirvana and Foo Fighter's Mr. Dave Grohl is well respected now after his many years fronting Nirvana spear heading the Grunge movement, you can't help but like the guy no matter what you think of the scenes or their music, he comes from a place of musical passion, and it's reflected in the project he put together honoring the studio Sound City out of Van Nuys, California. Tons of music stars who worked there were happy to appear in this 2 hour film, and I suggest you see it, even for an ode to music production, it will likely bring you to tears when you hear of it nearly closing for good. Encapsulating the end of a musical era and the documentary also includes discussions about recording music and the trends of the last 40 years that entail it.
