12 New GTA V Screens: The Fast Life

Rockstar have unveiled 12 new GTAV screenshots today, as well as HD versions of a few we got from recent previews that had ugly watermarks on.

Perhaps of more interest is that Rockstar confirm we will get the first "proper unveiling of Grand Theft Auto Online" in August.

Love Trevor's facial expression in that strip club. Franklin with chop looks great, and I wonder what Michael is listening to. The three amigos look perfect, great job Rockstar!

The boat name appears to be a reference to the Scottish pop band Deacon Blue, they released a popular song named Dignity in the 80s.

Not my find, but pretty cool.

Is it just me or do those two strippers in the screenshot with Trevor look a little butch? I mean, I think a physically healthy (i.e., not an anorexic stick figure) woman is attractive, but come on...

It looks like the returning "Sabre Turbo" is going to be a performance package upgrade to the basic Sabre GT this time.

And considering the size of that military helicopter (it's a cross between an MH-53K Sea Dragon and CH-47 Chinook, for anyone wondering), I hope we can transport stuff around inside it.

I thought it looked more like a cross between the Chinook and MH-53 Pave Low myself, due to the radar configuration on the front. But either way, I too, think it would be awesome if we could use it as a transport heli. San Andreas had the one you could transport vehicles only when you were on that mission, and I always thought it would be so cool to use it whenever you wanted.

"Sabre turbo" never really did impressed me in vice city. What I really am waiting for is the new generation "Phoenix" and "sultan"

The offoad vehicles, particularly the Toyota Hilux-based "Rebel", are what I'm most interested in. The Varsity in Saints Row 2 was based on the Hilux and it ended up being my second favorite vehicle in the game after the Ford Expedition-based FBI. But still, I've always had an affinity for muscle cars and the Sabre Turbo was my favorite until GTA IV introduced the Charger-based Dukes.

You're right, actually. I missed the nose. My bad. Though the size of Trevor in the cockpit leads me to think its been upscaled more akin to the larger Super Stallion/Sea Dragon.

That is a good point too. Well whatever their inspiration for the helicopter is, all I know is I want to fly it! And I am right there with you about the offroad vehicles. I really hope that you can take the trucks and put lift kits, tougher bumpers, big offroad wheels, etc... on them since we can customize vehicles again.

The plane on fire shot, I took a long hard look at because the nose just seems bent, and a rather bad perspective shot coming from Rockstar, but actually not the first time, back pre-GTA IV, a still shot of Niko in a red car as I recall, had a bad perspective on it as well, it seemed too, Rockstar were too early in development at that time, and it was likely bad art to present, if of the actual game, it had to be remedied later in the final draft.

Pretty sure some long time GTA fans might recall which one I'm talking about, I can't picture it accurately in my mind's eye, but it was Niko in a car firing a gun??

Anywho, look at the plane closely and you can see some curvature of the lower section, under the cabin extending back toward the wings, this creates a less then linear perspective one might expect on a lear jet.

@Flyboy, check this reference I found, thinking you had got the heli name wrong, as Pavlov's dogs is a similar sounding term

PAVE is a U.S. Air Force program name relating to electronic systems. Some state that it is just a codename, rather than an acronym. Others point to the definition of PAVE in some military glossaries as "Precision Avionics Vectoring Equipment" or "Precision Acquisition Vehicle Entry".

Pave is indeed technically an acronym (it's also applied to a Black Hawk variant, known as the Pave Hawk), but I don't recall exactly what it stands for right off hand. However when referring to the aircraft, it's officially written as "Pave".
