Jon Lord of the band DEEP PURPLE passed away today, died from a bout with cancer that he couldn't win
I lost a very good friend to cancer as well, help support the fight to end deadly disease.

More some YT finds I scouted for interviews with him. But my favorite mental image is of him physically ROCKING that keyboard of his, no other keyboardist does that. I just saw Paul Shaffer sitting in with Bachman and Turner on PBS, and I can tell that man loves to rock the keyboard as well, in a different manner. But of the man's peers, I'd say Rick Wakeman is second in command.
For me, a die hard rock and roller, I felt UFO and keyboards persuaded me more and more to like the combo, then you have Night Ranger as well, initially I hated the idea of keys and guitars, it felt opposed to one another, but obviously, that's the wrong line of thinking
