Yep, seen and heard about it. I do have the game myself, but I haven't tried the VC map mod yet.

I have. It's well rendered but empty, and since it's so big populating will take some time...

It's beta though, the guy usually makes car mods and this is more of a side project so god knows then the final version will be out.

Do the neighborhood folders work anything like in The Sims 2? Cause you could backup all your families and lots, and put them into the new neighborhood when it's released.

So you can do stuff like this in The Sims 3? I can't even run that game :-(

Yes you simply backup your save files. The lot and sim data is saved there.

The game makes an automatic backup now and then, not really sure when though...

However I don't think you can put 'em in the final version (or any other version than the one you had when you made the backup) of the neighborhood, since it will be different...
