Killing Spree/Standoff/Shootout Help.

With cheats: get to a safe spot and enter the code that blows everything up again and again. If I remember right, SA was like VC and destroying aircraft was the best for boosting your criminal status. Without cheats: I used to have many favorite "kill spots", but it has been quite a while and I do not have SA installed at the moment. They will come back, in time. One was at the top of that really tall building in Los Santos. Pick off police copters easily and relatively safely, even with one shot from a sniper rifle (aim for the sweet spot right below the rotors but above the cabin - looks like a gearbox sort of thing). If this gets boring parachute or jetpack down to that ledge that is level with the highway. Stand close to the edge (but not too close) and look north towards Mulholland intersection. Take your minigun and shred vehicles as they come up over the hill towards you. Because it is a highway the vehicle count will be really high. Try not to look south too much so that they can't pop up behind you from the north. MOST of the time police copters will have trouble finding you. Another favorite was that scaffolding in San Fierro just north of the garage. Jetpack up to the third level and toss molotovs and grenades through the open ends on the cops below or blast them with your weapon, but be careful near the edge because you will be vulnerable. I do not remember if a flamethrower could reach or not. Police copters can only shoot at you through the same open ends so pick them off at your discretion or move away for cover temporarily. Much of the time the copters will not even be able to find you.

Oh! How could I forget?! The most fun EVER was to jetpack on to a trolley in San Fierro. Roam all over town and let the game do the driving for you. A two car trolley is probably the best. Stand closer to the back so that vehicles that it collides with can not explode and harm you. Try to keep facing FORWARD so that you have a chance to pick off the "pop up cops" on the sidewalks before they bravely shoot you to pieces from behind. Police copters will have trouble keeping up with you, especially on one of the faster moving trolleys. I usually preferred going clockwise around San Fierro, seemed the best. If you have a minigun you should be ready to rock. The trolley will stop after one circuit not far from the police station, across from Cluckin' Bell. Try not to get knocked off by an explosion! If you try this BEFORE you are supposed to have access to San Fierro the trolley never stops, which means nonstop criminal fun. Of course, you would need the jetpack cheat to make it work then.

Thanks.

Anymore?

Really anything would help.

I also used to stand in that dirt lot (the construction site) just north of the garage in San Fierro. If you stand at the top of that ledge that slopes down to the street (with the trolley tracks) and far enough north (but not too far) the beat cops will not bother you and you can easily pick off vehicles with a mini-gun or a rocket launcher. Because it is mostly open you should be able to take out most helicopters with a RPG without taking much damage. It is also nice because you have a save point nearby in case your health gets dangerously low. Be advised though that the street cops start to come after you as soon as you set foot on the garage lot again so do not let your health get TOO low.

Also across the street in the train station is a good spot. If you have an ample supply of molotovs and flame thrower propellant stand away from the entrance and you can roast anything and anyone on the other side of the wall. Use your mini-gun to obliterate anything that gets near the entrance. Helicopters can not get to you, so I do not know how much your criminal rating will increase using this method.

If tanks are involved did you know that you can take out the driver by shooting the small gap between the access hatch and the lid? Find a wooden power pole or something similar to get behind so that they can not squash you and try taking them out with your mini-gun or assault rifle. Strangely enough, sometimes if the tank is moving when you do this, the driver ends up being dragged along underneath and the tank keeps right on going! Sometimes the tank will start and stop moving as you move. Weird glitch or something.

Another was inside the big hangar at the desert airstrip just inside the hangar door. If you keep facing north most police vehicles will meander around the safe house. Some will come towards you from the east down the embankment from the road. You can easily duck further inside for cover if you need to or step outside and take out some helicopters when the coast is clear enough. Just keep in mind that the slow moving hangar door may close behind you if you wander too far outside.

Where are you talking about?

I don't understand the first paragraph or the second...

Are there any FUN places to do a standoff?

Nice reply to my mini-rant, which I apologize for. A good example of how to NOT get an admin spanking because of hotheadedness. Anyway, play and explore the game to accomplish what you are after; you will get your moneys worth at least.

That's fine.

It's just I need more ideas.

You know what it's like...

I have no more ideas, you know...

That's why I posted this in the first place...

Lol if you can't find anything (else) to do in GTA San Andreas then you're better off finding another game...

Here's a list of the things I did in the past 2 hours, no cheats:

-Hijacking police helicopters, yes in mid air.

-Dog fighting with army Hydras.

-Watching massive cop suicide at the Emerald Isle.

-Setting fires. To everything.

-Grenade parkour.

-Stealing Hunters, flying around SA, and taking them back.

-Playing pool.

-Stunts, of all kinds.

And I think I also killed a few cops.. lost track around 200.

I'll try to record a clip and edit this post. Basically you just need a roof that confuses the A.I. to think you're lower than you really are, lots of those in San Andreas but I prefer the one next to the Jefferson.

EDIT: Here we go, cheated to speed things up but it's piece of cake even without cheats, since the cops can't really shoot you there. Occasionally a SWAT might be deployed there but it's no bigish.
