Awww, isn't that cute.

See the real deal here, mid 11's @ 110 MPH (note B&W pic circa 1965, drive wheel left pavement) -

There was also a '69 Charger modified for the TV show "Dukes of Hazard" that ran the entire 1/4 mile w/ the nose in

the air.

Built by these guys (sorry, couldn't find pics).

That's the just AP1, which ran from 2000 and a couple of years later til '03 or '04 (not positive which) but the torque is on up the line. My Accord redline is set at 6K right now, the torque really comes on about 4K RPMs, and no it's not VTAKKKK :P

I think it's just awesome seeing a car that was never meant for that -- doing it, haha.

^OMG Sherm, you got an Accord? You *cough* are slow *cough*...What? I didn't say anything! It must be that swine flu... ;)

Are you speaking slow in driving or slow in the head? They are nice cars, so you aren't stupid for owning one. And our friend drives one and it definitely isn't slow...

Those just always seemed like they were suppose to go fast, to me.

But why must little kids get their panties in a wad because a car that is suppose to be efficient and nice to drive doesn't go super fast? There's more to cars than speed, child. Maybe when your balls drop, you get your license, and have to pay your own gas, you'll understand why someone would want to drive a car like an Accord.
