But they're still different brands, and make different cars. Not everybody knows who owns who. Like you... otherwise you'd know Porsche own VW.

VW owns Porsche, not vice versa.

They also own Audi and Lamborghini, but I put them up too.

Like I said before, they also own Audi and Lamborghini, but I put them up anyway.

Besides, you often here about GM, Chevy, GMC etc., but if you really didn't pay attention you would never know that Porsche owns Volkswagen, who owns Audi, who owns Lamborghini, etc.

BUT, now we have the problem whereby people STILL DON'T KNOW where lexus, etc is. We've concluded that people might not know the divisions of each car company as well as ourselves, so you've done nothing to alleviate that issue.

And also, if you're being that picky and pretentious about it, Maserati are owned by Ferrari (I think) and Fezza are owned by Fiat. (Definitely)

Er.... Porsche engineered the Volkswagen. And I don't think they own Lamborghini. That doesn't sound right to me.

And if those companies all fall "under" VW, why'd you add them? Just because they own them doesn't make them a division. And as stated repeatedly, people ARE going to bitch that their favorite company isn't up there, and even if you explain it to them, some will argue with you. You should just make it easier on everyone.

Porsche don't directly own Lambo.

VW own Audi, Audi own Lambo.

Obviously Audi has most say in Lambo, then VW, as it's parent, and Porsche, as it's parent. But porsche can tell only VW what to do, not Audi or Lambo. And so on.
