SA Modding Tool

Today, I started work on the ultimate San Andreas modding tool. You may say that it's a bit early considering the PC version isn't out, but after comparing SA's files with the pc and ps2 vc files, I reckon that my tool will be fully compatible with the PC release.

Anyway, the tool will be made on Visual Basic, if anyone has experience with this language and wants to help please reply or pm me. Thanks. I'll post screens of my work as I progress. Included in the tool will be my plotting tool that I mentioned months ago, in case any of you wonder what happened to that.

To start, it will be quite basic, editing things like what pedestrians and cars spawn in each area as well as car standard colours. Progessing to handling editors and other dat file editing and eventually moving to 3d hopefully. Incuded will be an installation system for normal mods

Yay double post. Anyway, this is what the main screen will look vaguely like. Since I've already made tons of parts of the program seperately, I'm now just putting them together. And trying to add more features.

I'm not planning to die soon, but moi making a legendary software would be awesome. Though, I found out today when some of my emails cam back with replies that I'm going to have to program it in three different languages. Only one of which I know.

At the mo, I'm trying to build a memory searcher like t-search that accesses other programs data, which I will use to break my way into San Andreas to build a trainer and some other stuff. Though that part won't be released until a few weeks after SA PC release.

Dude, tell me which languages, i can help you with Spanish and French ( i speak both)

He asked me if i could translate it, so i think it was more in verbal language than programming languages ;)

The only problem being that, the codes changed from gta 3 to vc, meaning that there's a 99% chance they will change for SA. But I'll create a search program that tests them until I figure it out. Though things like longest stoppy distance will confuse me tons and most of the codes will probably crash my game
