I know the numbers but its only becasue of the 360's early release, the vids are quite old hence not very accurate, but I don't see the 360 selling much more

The Xbox 360 is selling more because it's cheaper, has many great games, and a quality online service. Three things the PS3 can never compete with.

I'm sorry if you personally like HD-DVD, but there's no way in hell that things beating Blu-Ray. (This is coming from an Xbox 360 fan.) Blu-Ray has all the good exclusive studio's, and has made the big HD-DVD studio's go neutral. HD-DVD is Universal's format, it's nearly the same price as Blu-Ray and is worse than Blu-Ray. It'll probably die out by mid-'08.

Sorry, I just had to say that. I support Blu-Ray and what not.

MishoM, the porn industry backs HD-DVD. That is an instant nail in the coffin for Blu-ray.

rofl, no, actually I think theres really NO CHANCE of HD-DVD to kill Blu-Ray. Blu-Ray has BlockBuster exclusiveness, Target exclusiveness, and so many more studio's. Porn will eventually come to Blu-Ray anyway. Really, forget about HD-DVD. Its really not the way to go man...

Blu-ray is better, yes. But it's like 2 times more expensive (just some random figure) and the CD's are much more fragile. Other then that, there is absolutely no need to store 50 gig on a disc and on top of that, some university is working on a technology so that a HD-DVD can hold more then 400 gig, so beat that.

Whoopdie-effin'-do. You found videos about Xbox 360 failures. Flaws that have already been addressed in this topic. And do you really think that's gonna stop Xbox 360s from being sold? Nah, not with stuff like Xbox Live, exclusive GTA 4 content, and Halo 3. So shove those two videos up your ass.

Oh, and nice job changing your name to that of some scumbag who murdered his wife and child, and then killed himself, dick.

Have you even seen a blu-ray disc? I dont't think so, if you actually have you'd know they AREN'T fradgile, my friend gave me a scratched copy of Full Auto: Battlelines and it worked perfectly, The new technology your going on about costs way more than blu-ray, unless theres a cheaper way to produce it. I don't see people wanting to buy it

First video was obvious that MS had done that guy. Instead of putting his initials he should have scratched at the top and mark your post code. That way you can definetly tell its yours.

Your comments made me laugh (in a good way) :P . Of course if the 360 is getting hardware failures people won't buy it again (exception to some), tbh no one really cares about hardware failures unless it happens to them. Also if someone gets a 360 hardware failure there are going to recommend others not to buy it after all 360 has upto 33% fail rate, which is far too much.

Really? The hardware failures have happened to me, and I don't really care. I persevere for all of the games and content that the PS3 will suck a flaming cock for. And even with the failures, I still recommend it to all of my friends. I want them to experience great games. Hell, one of my friends is a raging PS3 fanboy (mainly for MGS4), but wants a 360 for Halo 3. Hell, he even looked up pics of the beta at school. That's the only game he wants; one FPS holds the sway to make even a fanboy of a rival system want to buy a 360. No game on the PS3 can do that.

WTF is wrong with you? Damn.. Of course I've seen them, duh. With fragile I meant that it gets scratched much easier.

Other then that, yes, that technology is rather expensive. But then they're also trying to make a cheap manner for HD-discs (more layers) so it still can hold more then Blu-Ray discs and be cheaper too.

They're WORKING on it, apparently, they've already made 200GB Blu-Ray disks. By the time they're done, HD-DVD will have faded away! :P

They already have put 500 gig on one HD-DVD, but as stated.. it's far the expensive and the same technology also can be used for the Blu-Ray disc..

Though I'd prefer HD-DVD winning just cause it's cheaper, Blu-Ray is actually better and if they'd not be so damn expensive I wouldn't waste a second even thinking about HD-DVD being better.

Yeah, its slightly cheaper, but come on man. Blu-Ray will be cheap by years-end. Sony knows what its doing. Toshiba seems to be just a sloppy mess to me. Sony has the BDA and what not, letting not only them profit and what not, but all these studios. Where as I think Toshiba just makes HD-DVD by themselves, and doesn't let others profit... Is that correct? Because it may be wrong. But I really like how Sony has the BDA and stuff.

I loled at that Jace :D

btw did you know the the ''revolutionary'' six axis controller system has been around since 1999.?

You can't really argue that video. You can't....

Beat 400GB? Kay. There's a 1TB disk being developed, and a 50TB disk. So.... Anyone able to beat THAT? Thooought soo.

hmmm I using context clues from Spaz's post, I think TB is a lot bigger than GB.

I really like how everyone here is talking about the xbox 360 and PS3 but yet no one is pointing out anything bad about the Wii....

Hooray for nintendo! Although from what I've read from somewhere, Sony was gonna help Nintendo with some CD technology for a system, but instead, Nintendo went with someone else and Sony got "jealous" and made their own system the Playstation.

If you ask me, the graphics for the PS3 isn't that impressive from looking at the games Transformers and Sonic the Hedgehog. The graphics look better on the 360 for those games. And as for exclusive content, PS3 loses because of some hard to program a game thing. Damn! FF13 isnt coming out till 2008! GRRRRRRRR! GTA4 ain't recieving any exclusive content for the PS3! HAHAHA!

Let's see, I can think of many games to get for the Wii and 360 over PS3...

Wii:

SSM Bros. BRAWL

Sonic and Mario at the Olympics! [finally]

Balls of Fury

Animal Crossing

Bully Scholarship edition

DDR: Hottest Party

FIFA 08

Godzilla Unleashed

Manhunt 2 [if it is unban]

Mario Kart Wii

Metroid Prime 3

My Sims

Resident Evil

Spider Man Friend or Foe

Wii Music

Wii Fit

Xbox 360

Halo 3

GTA 4

Banjo Kazooie 3

Bully Scholarship

Call of Duty 4 : Modern Warfare

DDR Universe 2

Guitar Hero 3

Halo Wars

Untitled Halo Project

Half Life 2

Rockstar Presents Table Tennis [its already out I know]

Soul Calibur 4

Virtua Tennis 3

PS3

Final Fantasy 13

Kingdom Hearts 3 [not gonna see that for a long time]

Dynasty Warrior Gundam

MGS 4

ummm I can't think of more.....

Heck I can think of games for the PS2

Guitar Hero Encore

.hack//GU 3 [Thats just me, I am pretty sure no one know wtf it is]

GO WII!

Now come on it's obvious Blu-Ray will beat DVD eventually because they can hold more space and the Blu-Ray players can also run DVD's (duh), But what I don't get is why were discussing this here?

Sony's PS3 isn't the only Blu-Ray player in the world you know... And is in no way Sony's idea so your really not helping out the 360 or other consoles by saying DVD will beat Blu-Ray...

Now all of you shut up and go and play Mario Party 8 like me.

Edit:

But it's like 2 times more expensive (just some random figure) and the CD's are much more fragile.

Bullshit. Blu-Ray is a laser hence the name Blu-RAY and the discs are practically the same just they pack more data and are made to run on a Blu-Ray player. Haha more fragile, what a load of crap. At least find a source to back that up...

2 times is exaggerated, but it is more expensive. I had a source from a hardware site, but that's 4 months old or something, so I can't really find that back thus not being able to show exact figures. But I think it was a 2:5 ratio or something like that.

And the discs are more fragile cause it has a thinner protective layer so more data can be put onto the discs. Again.. lost source.

Right seriously you can't tell the difference hardly from a HD - DVD disc and a blu-ray one, there mainly identical but top say blu-ray is fragile is just wrong seriously, I had gave a couple of friends just the blu-ray disc of SC _ DA, and they used like hell, it had a couple of scratchs and still worked perfectly fine. Thinner Protective layer? Its the basically the same disc, give me a source if you can find it.

@ TEC - I really don't get you, if a product were to break down after about 12 months, why would you want to buy it again? IT doesn't matter if it has all the 'good' qualitites, if the damn thing breaks your not gonig to buy it over and over again? Are you?

Pwns All

I'm reckoned the Nintendo sucked until the Wii came out. DAMN I WANNA Wii! Spent my birthday present on a Piano.

PS3 not worth the price, no ZOMGHAX! improvements. Not impressed.

Xbox 360 not enough new features for me to kick away my Xbox. Not impressed either except for Exclusive GTA IV content.

Because I want plenty of great games and Xbox Live, things I keep saying the PS3 can never compete with. Also, the only reason I was forced to buy a new 360 was because the store I bought it from lied to me about the warrenty and didn't want to deal with it. More reason as to why I hate Rhino Games. Turns out Microsoft is going to replace my broken 360 for free. So, now I'm going to have 2 working 360s. Besides, the PS2 had a of lot of hardware problems, so shut the hell up about hardware failures.

And I don't get you, because you bought an overpriced gadget that has almost no games for it. Hell, I'd much rather play a PS2 instead of a PS3; at least the games that have been released for the PS2 in the past few months are much better than anything that has been released on the PS3 thus far.

Besides, it's in my nature to replace broken items. If I had a Wii and that somehow broke, I'd get a new one. If my Gamecube broke, I'd go out and buy a new one. If my Xbox 1 broke, well, I already have a spare. Hell, I even tried to replace my broken PS2, but every single PS2 in town was sold out. (At effin' Christmas '04. Thanks, San Andreas.)
