The paramedic mission is making me homicidal. I could use some advice.

Thus far I've determined that (at least for the PC version):

- You can drive off the instant the blue marker winks out, the passengers (patients) will still disembark and give you the bonus time.

- (redundant) You can, of course, take off as soon as the patient touches your ambulance - hopefully we all know this.

- The bonus for picking up a patient DOES NOT occur as soon as they contact the ambulance; it happens when they are seated, which means if you get below (approx.) 6 seconds on the timer, you're done.

Secondarily - the use of the siren? Sometimes seems more hassle than it's worth. If you drive the centerline with the siren going, cars on your right tend to pull off onto the sidewalk (except cops - freakin' dickwaffles...) but cars on the left just LOVE to STOP DEAD. This is particularly true for any panel van (triad trucks, et al). Granted, when you have the siren disengaged, you seem to get a lot of sideswipes and wind up in a t-bone before long.

I've lost count how many times I've tried this mission and get screwed by the timer, or no bonus time for dropping off patients, and so forth.

:bashhead: :bashhead: :bashhead:

--- THAT ALL HAVING BEEN SAID ---

Is there some apparent "best method" for deciding the order of pickup?

Is there a reason I should ALWAYS get three when I can?

Any other magic answers I could get from anybody?

(No, don't want to simply use a trainer and skip it, I'd prefer to do this the hard way")

TIA,

Use the siren at times, and don't use it at times. It helps a bit. I always tried to get 3 patients every time, unless there were no more in the immediate area. Take them back to the hospital. That way, you can get to an area with more and get 3 more people. Unless you don't get a time bonus for two people (I don't remember to be honest, it's been awhile)

It's a pretty tedious task, maybe take a break for awhile doing something else. Good luck.

use the siren on long, strait roads. they shud move out of the way like butter. but dont be too reliable with the sirens. still pay attention and steer when needed. on short, twisty roads, turn the siren off and just drive like you are racing. on wide, thick, open double sided roads, you can stay on the right with the siren on and steer aside from cops. if your on an empty road, keep the siren on and when someone drives by, hold down the honky horn button to sound the alternative siren. they will emmediately move. and on an empty street, people moving quickly is a big stress reliever. use the alternative siren often. people just move faster. if you have unlocked shoreside vale (the third one) do NOT do the missions there. shoreside vale has terrible obsticles. i would go with staunton island (the second one) if you have unlocked it. portland is good too but staunton is just more of a smooth ride. although the dropoff is a little hard to get to. pick up the people that are the closest to you. then the next closest and so on. always fill up the car. taking three people at once is obviously faster than taking one at a time. it always helps if you are familiar with liberty before you start so you know the shortest route, shortcuts, weaknesses and so on. so if you know your way around liberty then good. if not then just do a little practice. drive your hardest at the beginning because after a while, you will have lots of time and at that point it is very easy and there is no rush.

regards. waffledick. wow.......just wow
