  1. i agree with Spartan198, what happened to Johnny is only a mirror for human mentality and breaking point, Johnny's life was never a good one. what has become of him is only what to be expected when someone's in his deepest fall. trevor only put him out of his misery, and Ash? we all know she's a bigger slut than Forrest Gump's Jenny. seeing Johnny's obsession for her, it would only be logical for him to defend her, even at his state.
  2. mine is definitely Alan Parson's Project - I wouldn't wanna be like you, the song gives the right feel for the story concept. and when off LS, Willie Nelson - Whiskey river, just so i can get the atmosphere of the countryside
  3. i think it's a brilliant writing man, and i get the hunch that Dan Houser don't like Johnny as a character too much, and when you see the end of TLAD, it was bound to happen, either got stomped by Trevor or died of overdose while being heartbroken by Ash. Dan Houser seems to show his other side of the coin on GTA characters. Johnny wasn't sober when you see him on V, and he wasn't for a very long time, it gives edge on how not all of Houser's characters has a happy ending, and on this one, Johnny became the man he really hates, and died because of it.
  4. you met him near the neighborhood of franklin's first safehouse, near some store after the first heist, i can't actually pinpoint it on the map but it is a dynamic event, just find blue dots near his house, i found him when it was night time, but i'm not sure if that is a must
  5. i've been out of the forums for too long anyway, i can't resist picking up gta v days ago, and the world is insanely massive and complex, really enjoyable and puts my work stress out of my head but when i stumbled upon stock trading, i can't help but feel like a failure for not listening to my teachers back then, and i work in a completely different area can i get business lessons from you guys? guides on what to buy and how to read the charts? if any of you are willing, because i've seen youtube, and i don't understand anything rather than just take advices from Lester
  6. Hmm i disagree. i think there is a 10% chance. what makes you think that? seriously, don't use hate or whatever in your judgement man, use logic i think it's a 99.9%, honest opinion, games today has the advantage of being taken in a live mode, online that is. i think it's a big mismanagement plan if R* is taking out the multiplayer, especially because they've succeeded taking RDR online, and also a game is being kept alive when a multiplayer is included, my friends who just bought a PS3 added uncharted 2, every next gen COD and BF 3 to his shoplist because they want to play the online multiplayer, from those games, only BF 3's the newest game and c'mon, taking it out? if i was an R* executive, i'd rather fire the guys who made IV multiplayer and hire a better one. back in business as for the local play, i never think split screen suits GTA that much, especially when SA fails with sucky camera angle Hmm i disagree. i think there is a 10% chance. what makes you think that? seriously, don't use hate or whatever in your judgement man, use logic i think it's a 99.9%, honest opinion, games today has the advantage of being taken in a live mode, online that is. i think it's a big mismanagement plan if R* is taking out the multiplayer, especially because they've succeeded taking RDR online, and also a game is being kept alive when a multiplayer is included, my friends who just bought a PS3 added uncharted 2, every next gen COD and BF 3 to his shoplist because they want to play the online multiplayer, from those games, only BF 3's the newest game and c'mon, taking it out? if i was an R* executive, i'd rather fire the guys who made IV multiplayer and hire a better one. back in business as for the local play, i never think split screen suits GTA that much, especially when SA fails with sucky camera angle No hate, just my honest opinion. Rockstar always fuck up somewhere. R* is calling GTA V the 'largest and most ambitious game' it has ever created so who knows, we might get multiplayer. R* better give us multiplayer. Im just not getting my hopes up as I was fucking pissed with RDR not coming to PC. The gameplay/graphics would have been much better on PC. Bad move R*. Oh and if you want to play locally, play via your router not split screen. just telling it like i see it bro, be more objective, no offense, i know not creating the PC version of RDR is a disadvantage business wise, and is a letdown for a massive amount of gamers worldwide. i'm sure they had their reasons but overall, in these last few years, have you ever seen an R* game that has bad critical reviews? as far as i know there's none. even that table tennis thing (which is so not R*, but still cool). so i'm saying the probability is still high for a multiplayer considering GTA is the biggest franchise of theirs, they'll try anything to make it perfect, probably they're beta testing the V with car fuel filling ability or some stuff just to see if it's better with it then again, i might be wrong, after all i'm a user, i get high on their supply, i can still have impaired judgement as for the split screen local play, i was just replying @red_squirrel_uk, so i don't know if that remark applies to me
  7. if the story is to revolve around money, will revenge be necessary? IV was based on an outdated revenge (i just wish they'd dug deeper on the war and betrayal part, it really captures on who niko was) i think it's better if R* will focus on the classic Goodfellas money chasin' rags to riches, never gets old in a crime thriller story, although it would be good if we see some changes, from a boss to crackhead sounds nice i have a theory regarding the multi playable characters rumor, what if the first guy (hispanic or whatever) we saw driving and flirting, the guy with the suit who kicked the door in, and all the guys in that blue van, are playable characters? what if all of them are looking for this fresh new colour-me-green $ bills from one particular bank which one of the playable characters has (or once had) access to? and i have a strong feeling that the suit is the brain you know, this mile high club, maybe it's a gathering of socialites they targeted. i know this sounds a lot like ocean's eleven, or italian job, or the town, or any of those heist themed movies and games. but if IV's gameplay got truly epic when that one particular mission "three leaf clover" came up, III was hitting my nerves (i was once a kid, i have played games emotionally) because Catalina betrayed claude on that opening heist, VC was hard because it had that bank job, and SA was showing most of PS2's gameplay horizon, yet they still have that one venturas casino heist, why not make it big in V? i guess what i'm saying is R* has never made this intriguing heist theme a main focus you know, IV was about a diamond deal and revenge, still not heist. will it happen? oh and also @fatalgamer, congrats for your 1st trip bro, hope you've unlocked that hole in wonderland if you know what i mean
  8. 9. Grove Street probably won't be making a return as with anything else that was in San Andreas Story. Maybe just in a form of an Easter Egg but that's just about it. well, they have to make a Los Santos version of Compton don't they? i'm sure it'll be there, but it's probably not the grove street we used to roam anymore, and by watching the trailer, i think street gangs like that will only have a small part to the game's atmosphere
  10. that gangsta shit is so 1992 bro, i don't think they'll repeat the same theme, even though there must be some street racial gangs in it, i'm sure it'll be completely fresh new, different feel of Los Santos, i mean, even Liberty City is always different in every GTA series right?
  11. i can't help but be more ambitious about this game, i mean c'mon, los santos only means a greater depth, focus and less distorted theme unlike san andreas, i knew this was happening, truth is, since SA and GTA IV, i have set myself not to have the greatest (even out of the box) expectations, and just wait for real infos, real promotions and rockstar's interviews. so yeah, in my opinion, no tommy vercetti (or other characters appearing as the main character for that matter), no other cities but the massive recreated (i think much bigger than Los Angeles in L.A Noire) Los Santos, no gas masks (assuming it was only for an in-game scene), and forgive me for being a realist and a cynic, but until R* confirm it, i wouldn't have assumptions on multiple playable characters as well. Los Santos is my 2nd favorite city in SA, so, hell, if R* is really confident about it, why don't we?
  12. -reappearing old characters, GTA IV was totally not completed, with the incomplete story of the russian mob, the irish mob and all. not to mention the other 5 families of the cosa nostra, if they're moving on with a completely new story, i wish they never made Packie as a supporting character -a fresh glamorized crime theme, this is obvious for them, but i'm talking GTA III and IV fresh, not another Scarface- 80's Vice City (although it was a masterpiece) Boyz N' The Hood- 90's San Andreas thing, if it's necessary they should even set it in the future, or the historical events (like the 1930's golden days of organized crime, or the 60's-70's when it started to fall, the Henry Hill and RICO act era) -more guns, less hanging out, more variation of missions rather than "go and kill this/those guy(s) and steal that car, oh and avoid the cops" -customizable weapons rather than looks, the only upgrades i want, are on my AK's rather than my car and my character's appearance
  13. i don't think R* will be repeating the previous cities unless it's carcer, otherwise i'd be disappointed in them because of their lack of creativity. liberty city was a thing in GTA IV because it's their signature city, rebuilt. repeating the idea to rebuild a city doesn't seem to be a smart move right now if they want to beat GTA III and GTA IV's popularity. it's GTA remember? even if it's in a completely fictional city no one has ever go, it'll still be badass i voted new fictional city
  14. decided to get back on this thing after seeing GTA V announcement

  15. there hasn't been any announcement about whether or not GTA V will come to PC, although the grand theft auto series had been known to release the PC version longer than the console version anyway, BF 3 actually looks cool but the GTA series is totally a living legend compared to that shit, i would take a piss on them MW 3 and BF 3 cd's any day if i can get the GTA V first copy out of it
