This works for the resolution problem, I do not know if it fixes the other errors. This update should also work for Vista and Windows7. The reason I linked to that one is because it worked for me, I haven't tried the latest version, this worked so...

Refering back to my original topic here I've been trying to play GTA3 and GTA Vice City for awhile now, this is the fix that I've found. I tried all of the other fixes such as: Compatibility mode Deleting the .set file Reinstalling Registry fixes Defragging Scan disc Seperate applications (3D Analalyze) etc... I managed to find a solution to the problem. Here it is: Go to Start and choose Run, type this: regsvr32 /u mpeg2decfilter.ax Download and install ffdshow: http://sourceforge.net/projects/ffdshow/ Now when you load up GTA 3 or GTA Vice City you will be able to change the resolution and play the game without any crashes:). Please sticky if this helped. Works fine!

Yeah health problems man, I used to play Wolfenstein for around 19 hours straight, game after game. I would only toilet and eat at computer, sometimes not even eat. 3 bottles of 2 liter coke and I was sorted. Wouldn't do that ever again, don't have the patience or will.

Thank you for understanding, I've always purchased my GTA games because I respect them. I have them on the PS1/PS2 and PS3 also, I have every single game apart from the PSP and GTA games since I sold my PSP and my Gameboy was gone long time ago . I've got the first batch of the games also, so I think I deserve to play my game. I think the problem may be my comp since everyone else can play just fine. I guess it's memory problems, I'm not going to uninstall anything like AV though , just trying to find the hex of it. Guess VB will have to come out . If anyone has the answer it would be great! Nothing illegal at all about it.... I have the game, if you want proof I can give you it. Not illegal to download a game you have legally purchased mate.

I know that mate but the problem is with the game I play on the PC, it doesn't like x64, so I would rather lose 0.5 of my ram other than my game not loading. 32 bit would be better to play GTA3 on either way. I downloaded both from a torrent website, I might try find rapidshare link. Nope nothing works, every single version doesn't work for me, I guess it's a problem my end since noone else is complaining about it.

I've just had to download GTA3 since my disc says that there is corrupted files so I downloaded 2 versions from the Internet (this is not ILLEGAL, I can take picture of disc if you want) but they do not seem to work, I go to change the resolution and it just crashes with Unhandled Exception (I guess memory reading/writing error). I have tried many different things, I can't see the error code 0x00000 etc.. because I'm on Windows XP and can't get back from the crashed game, I have to stop GTA3.exe, which stops DrWatson and the error message. I was wondering whether someone can help me. Specs:

Be like? Will he be English and go back to the roots or span off and have some Chinese guy as a main character. GTA3 and VICE CITY are the best ones out of them all, GTA4 is also awesome, didn't get on with GTA:SA, boring game imo. Might install GTA3 to complete again.

I couldn't agree more mate, GTA3 I can still remember the first time I seen it. I was out with my mate and went into his house where his bro was playing it with his mate. Stood there and watched, it was amazingly epic moment, I can still remember the lighting and the smell of feet in the air (lol?). After that I got it after showing my dad a video of it on a disc I had from a magazine. He was amazed and got me it the next day, was groundbreaking. People are too picky and ungrateful at what you got. When we was your age Pokemon Red was the sh*t, now you all moan about your GTA on your PSP .

Hey I'm making a movie with a couple of people and I was wondering is there any way I can get some mods/hacks to use for the movie? Need something like spawn cars so we don't have to look for them and stuff . If anyone can help me it would be much appreciated and you can be in the movie also.
